Big Hearts, Bigger Bakes!
There was a buzz of excitement in the air as Spruce Class and Acorn Class rolled up their sleeves and whipped up something truly special — a fantastic bake sale in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital!
This wasn’t just about baking delicious treats (although there were plenty of those!). The pupils took charge of every step of the journey, turning a brilliant idea into a whole-school event. From the very beginning, they worked together to plan the event, deciding what to bake, how much to charge, and how to make their stall irresistible.
Next came the creative magic ✨
The children baked an amazing selection of cakes and treats, filling the school with the smell of chocolate, vanilla, and success. They then designed eye-catching posters to advertise the event, making sure everyone across the school knew when and where the bake sale would be happening.
But it didn’t stop there! Spruce and Acorn Class also showed off their business brains by developing a costing and marketing strategy — thinking carefully about prices, value for money, and how to attract customers. Future entrepreneurs in the making!
When the big day arrived, the pupils proudly hosted the bake sale for children from across the entire school. The stalls were busy, the smiles were huge, and the cakes disappeared fast. Most importantly, everyone knew they were supporting an incredible cause.
👏 Well done to Spruce Class and Acorn Class for their teamwork, creativity, and generosity. You proved that with enthusiasm, planning, and a love of baking, you can make a real difference — one slice at a time!
