Careers Week Inspires Future Pathways

During Careers Week, we focused on broadening our pupils’ horizons by introducing them to new experiences and exploring the wider world of work. Throughout the week, we welcomed a variety of guest speakers into school who shared their knowledge, skills, and personal career journeys across a range of industries, including construction, cleaning, and catering.

Pupils also enjoyed taking part in a wide range of practical, hands-on activities linked to different professions. Activities included making pizzas, cleaning areas around the school, building raised beds for the outdoor garden, gardening, exploring hair and beauty, and learning more about careers in dentistry, medicine, the fire service, and the police service.

The week provided pupils with valuable opportunities to experience different working environments, develop practical skills, and gain a greater understanding of the responsibilities and qualities needed in a variety of careers. It was fantastic to see everyone fully engaged, showing enthusiasm, teamwork, and curiosity throughout the week.
